The magic of Projector is that it allows you to create your very own video streaming app on a Smart TV. It works just like Netflix. While it is amazing how almost any video file can be uploaded to stream on Projector, there are some important items to note. Below are some standards that will assist you when uploading video files. Keeping a video below 3GB in size will greatly assist you. When uploading an older VHS or Camcorder tape, it is not necessary to save it using the highest possible frame and/or bitrate since the original was not recorded at those same specifications. By following the suggestions below, you could keep a file below 3 GB and not affect the original video quality.
We recommend video conversions should be finalized as standard mp4 digital files with H.264 compression. H.264 is an industry standard for video compression, which is the process of converting digital video into a format that takes up less file space when it is stored or played. Video compression is a necessary technology for applications like video streaming. (This is the same format used for YouTube, Netflix & Hulu)

2. Definitions
Bitrate is defined as the amount of data that is transferred per second.
Video Resolution is the number of pixels that are spread across the display of the screen. It is measured in the frame width x frame height.
3. File Size
File size is the measurement of how much data a file contains. The size of a video file is determined by the total resolution & total bitrate. The higher the resolution and the higher the bitrate, the bigger the file size.
The suggested maximum file size for streaming is 3 giga bytes (GB) or less. While Projector does allow for larger file sizes, this will cause extended uploading times for users. We strongly suggest reducing your file size to 3 giga bytes (GB) or less.
